To explain basic mathematical shapes/terms.

Side of shapes

Tri = 3 sides
Quad = 4 sides
Pent = 5 sides
Hex = 6 sides

    TRI 3 SIDES SHAPES
Triangle -- from Wolfram MathWorld

Equilateral triangle - All angles equal to 60 degrees, all sides are equal, al equilateral triangles have 3 lines of symmetry.

Isosceles triangle - 2 angles equal, 2 sides have equal length, all isosceles triangles have a line symmetry or one line is reflected from the other.

Scalene triangle - No angles are qual, no sides are equal length.

Right angles triangle - 1 angle must have 90 degrees.

Obtuse Triangle - 1 angle must be greater than 90 degrees which are called an obtuse angle, the other 2 angles are less than 90 degrees which are called the acute angle.

Acute triangle - All angles must have less than 90 degrees.

    QUAD 4 SIDED SHAPES:
Quadrilateral - Wikipedia
Quadrilateral shapes must have:
- 4 sides and edges
- 4 vertices or corners
- Interior angles add up to 360 degrees

Rectangle - 4 sided shape, every angle is a right angle (90 degrees), opposite sides are parallel and equal of length.

Square - 4 sides are qual, every angle is a right angle (90 degrees), opposite sides are parallel.

Rhombus - 4 sided shape, all sides have equal length, opposite sides are parallel and opposite angles are equal.
An interesting fact in diagonal or dashed lines meets in the middle at a right angle.
Rhombus is also called a rhomb or a diamond.

Parallelogram - COntains opposite sides parallel and equal in length, Opposite angles are equal (2 angles are the same, and another 2 are the same).

Trapezoid - Has opposite sides parallel, quadrilateral no parallel sides.

Kite - Has two same length sides or each pair is made of two ewaul-length sides join up.
- two angles pairs are equal.
- the diagonals, shown as dashed lines above, meet at a right angle.
- 1 diagonal bisect (cut equally in half).

Polygons
There can be a regular polygon which all angles equal and all sides equal sides, but if they don't have this they will be an irregular polygon.
Regular and Irregular Polygons ( Read ) | Geometry | CK-12 Foundation
Pentagon - A regular pentagon contains five congruent sides, five same interior angles, five same exterior angles.
Exterior angles = 360/5 sides = 72 degrees. This is found because a regular polygon, going around a pentagon completes a full circle, this means the exterior angles are found by dividing 360 degrees by the numbers of the sides.

Irregular pentagons - Convex no internal angles can be more than 180 degrees, concave one interior angle that is greater than 180 degrees.

Hex- 6 sided shapes - hexagon
Regular / irregular

When all angles are equal and all sides are equal it is regular, otherwise, it is irregular.

A concave/convex

A convex hexagon no angles pointed inwards, no internal angles can be more than 180 degrees.

Reduce Plastic Waste Scheme

Dear (customer name),

We are inviting you to be part of our new scheme. As we want to work with you to change the way customers buy everyday products. This was planned to reduce plastic waste that's filling up our landfills.

- We want to stop putting plastic into our landfills; this can be biodegradable/degradable plastic bags, and bottles only break down in specific conditions.

-All plastic bags now replaced with hessian bags (made from flax and hemp fibres). First bag free with purchases over $50. Or we will provide recycled cardboard boxes (and help carry to your car).

-Most liquids products (liquid soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, etc) now available in 'fill your own' containers. Bring your own container to fill and get 5% discount.

-Fresh vegetables - instead of plastic bags, try re-useable waxed cotton bags to keep food fresh.

Please support our new update regarding our plastic scheme, and thank you for your ongoing support.

Regards,
George Davis

Internal communication : English

Subject: Fire drill Instruction

Greetings,

After the recent fire evacuation drill, many of our staff members didn't know what to do. Although the alarms sounded continuous (indicating a fire warning) some of our staff stayed inside the building. Those people who did leave the building weren't sure where they should wait, and some wandered off to get coffee.  Please take note of the following instructions regarding the fire evacuation drill.

- All exit routes must be clear for exiting.

- After exiting the building everyone must go straight to the main car park and not go wander to other places.

-Wait until the Fire Safety Officer gives the all-clear.

Please follow the following roles for your safety, and as soon as the alarms turn on everyone must follow the roles to prevent any accidents. For more information or questions regarding this, email me at MegGarcia@gmail.com

Thanks,

Meg Garcia

Re: Update regarding the kitchen recycling

I have received your request regarding the update of our staff kitchen recycling bins.

Here are the following new updates:
- The recycling bins have been used correctly (e.g plastic in the plastic bin, etc).
- I have received mostly positive feedback from our staff about the new system.
- Some staff think that it is a waste of time but, they do follow the rules of the new.
- The food bin is not emptied often enough that it becomes smelly.
- There is some confusion over the types of plastic that are recyclable

Although the new recycling system is going well, there have been few problems with recycling types. I recommend that we should give the stuff the instructions regarding the new recycling program so there won't be any confusion.

Term 3 week 2 senior art

In art I have been learning how to get better in my drawing skills, which is taking time to develop. I also have been trying hard to focus in my painting which sometimes I get demotivated and not do work, this can be seen as my art work looks rough and really not true to life which true to life is what I'm aiming for.

In my first work that I kinda finished which I need to developed, because the lines are rough, there's a miss mach colors, and needs more detail. This is probably due to not using a small brush, and sometimes I demotivated or the why I get distracted.

In my second work that I am currently working, the drawing shows a couple wearing a traditional Chinese clothing that is colored red, I chose this color because color red in china means happiness, success and good fortune. The traditional clothing that the man is wearing is called the 'Tang suet' that was made back in the Qing Dynasty where is the final imperial dynasty in china (1644 to 1912). The women in the right is also wearing a traditional clothing that came in 1271-1368 AD the Yuan dynasty, where china had fallen under the Mongols rule. In the back round is a traditional old Chinese building.
I have been working well on trying to get things finish in art even though Im doing really slow.

FORMS AND CONTOURS

Here is my practice of my from and contours, it's doesn't look much but it's getting their. These is also my first art work that I have currently done and have. The next thing I will do is drawing buildings and add a circular kind of perspective that well connect to my them and story of work.
